This canapé classic gets a delicious makeover. Using a good all-butter store-bought pastry makes them especially quick.

    40 g (about ¼ cup)finely grated

    100 g (about ½ cup)grated

  • Fresh rosemary icon

    1 teaspoon (about 1.2 g)finely chopped

    1 pinch (about 0.41 g)

    1 pinch (about 0.13 g)

  • Puff pastry icon

    1 (about 1.2 kg)

    METHOD


  • 1. Line 2 clean baking sheets with parchment paper
  • 2. Add water and egg to a clean small bowl
  • 3. Beat briefly then set aside
  • 4. Add parmesan cheese, gruyère cheese, fresh rosemary, sea salt and black pepper to a clean small bowl
  • 5. Mix then set aside
  • 6. Roll out puff pastry onto the baking sheets
  • 7. Transfer half of eggs to 2 pastry
  • 8. Transfer cheese mixture to 2 pastry
  • 9. Slice evenly
  • 10. Shape
  • 11. Transfer the rest of eggs to 2 pastry
  • 12. Sprinkle with black sesame seeds
  • 13. Bake until golden brown - 10 min, 190°C
