  1. Grease a round pan
  2. Pre-heat
  3. Get a clean small bowl
  4. Add cubed salted butter then set aside
  5. Get a clean saucepan
  6. Add granulated sugar
  7. Add water
  8. Add juice of lemon
  9. Heat until just boiling
  10. Simmer for 5min until golden brown
  11. Whisk butter into caramel bit by bit then set aside
  12. Arrange peeled, sliced pear
  13. Pour caramel into cake
  14. Get a clean small bowl
  15. Add all purpose flour
  16. Add baking powder
  17. Add ground cinnamon
  18. Add ground ginger
  19. Whisk briefly until blended
  20. Get a clean large mixing bowl
  21. Add room temperature salted butter
  22. Add light brown sugar
  23. Cream together for 3min until light and fluffy
  24. Add egg one by one while mixing
  25. Retrieve large mixing bowl
  26. Add vanilla extract
  27. Add milk
  28. Mix until just combined
  29. Transfer dry ingredients to batter bit by bit while mixing
  30. Transfer batter to cake
  31. Bake for 35min until skewer tests clean
  32. Let cool for 10min
  33. Invert carefully
