    Method

  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 175°C
  • 2. Add butter to a clean saucepan
  • 3. Cook until simmering while stirring occasionally - medium heat
  • 4. Transfer to a small bowl so it won't continue to cook and burn
  • 5. Let cool - approx 25 min
  • 6. Add all purpose flour, ground cinnamon, baking soda, cornstarch, rolled oats and salt to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 7. Mix until combined
  • 8. Add brown sugar and granulated sugar to a clean medium bowl
  • 9. Transfer butter to medium bowl
  • 10. Whisk together
  • 11. Add egg and vanilla extract and whisk until combined
  • 12. Transfer dry ingredients to medium bowl
  • 13. Add chocolate chips
  • 14. Mix together until well combined
  • 15. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  • 16. Scoop content of medium bowl onto baking sheet
  • 17. Bake until just set - 10 min, 175°C
  • 18. Transfer onto cooling rack
