Step preview

  1. Pre-heat
  2. Get a clean large mixing bowl
  3. Add golden caster sugar
  4. Add salt
  5. Add all purpose flour
  6. Add cornflour
  7. Mix together then set aside
  8. Get a clean stand mixer bowl
  9. Add egg white
  10. Add warm water
  11. Add almond extract
  12. Add cream of tartar
  13. Whisk for approx 5s on low speed
  14. Whisk on medium speed until foamy and continue
  15. Add golden caster sugar gradually and continue mixing
  16. Transfer content of large mixing bowl to stand mixer bowl bit by bit
  17. Fold until combined
  18. Transfer content of stand mixer bowl to tube pan
  19. Bake for 35min until browned at edges
  20. Let cool on round wire rack
  21. Remove onto cooling rack
  22. Get a clean large mixing bowl
  23. Add icing sugar
  24. Add cocoa powder
  25. Get a clean saucepan
  26. Add butter
  27. Add milk
  28. Heat until melted
  29. Transfer content of saucepan to large mixing bowl
  30. Mix until thickened
  31. Frost
  32. Decorate with unsweetened shredded coconut
