Method
1. Add yellow lentils, ginger, ground turmeric, onion, salt & pepper and water to a clean large saucepan
2. Heat gently until just boiling
3. Reduce until simmering - medium heat
4. Cook until tender - 35 min
5. Add lime juice and simmer while stirring occasionally - approx 1 min
6. Mash briefly with potato masher
7. Set aside and turn off heat
8. In a clean frying pan heat grapeseed oil over medium heat
9. Increase the heat to high, add cumin seeds and stir until slightly toasted for approx 10 sec
10. Add garlic clove and cook until light golden
11. Add red bell pepper, cook until softened and turn off heat - approx 1 min
12. Add the fried herbs and spices to the pot
13. Add cayenne pepper and cilantro
14. Serve
