Step preview

  1. Pre-heat
  2. Grease a mini doughnut pan
  3. Get a clean medium bowl
  4. Add all purpose flour
  5. Add baking powder
  6. Add baking soda
  7. Add salt
  8. Add finely grated nutmeg
  9. Add ground cinnamon
  10. Whisk briefly then set aside
  11. Get a clean small glass bowl
  12. Add unsalted butter
  13. Melt in microwave on low heat
  14. Mix in vanilla extract
  15. Get a clean stand mixer bowl
  16. Transfer butter to stand mixer bowl
  17. Add granulated sugar
  18. Add buttermilk
  19. Add greek yogurt
  20. Add egg
  21. Beat with paddle attachment until smooth
  22. Add mashed banana
  23. Mix until well combined
  24. Transfer dry ingredients to batter
  25. Mix until combined
  26. Transfer batter to mini doughnut pan
  27. Bake for 10min until lightly browned
  28. Transfer onto cooling rack
  29. Get a clean saucepan
  30. Add unsalted butter
  31. Heat gently on medium heat until lightly browned
  32. Get a clean large mixing bowl
  33. Add sifted powdered sugar
  34. Add vanilla extract
  35. Add heavy cream
  36. Transfer butter to frosting
  37. Whisk until smooth
  38. Dip content of mini doughnut pan into frosting
  39. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts
