I love keeping a jar of salted caramel sauce in my fridge for anything from apple pie to ice cream, to drizzling over brownies. This sauce is easy to make and transforms basic desserts into flavor bombs!

Step preview

  1. Get a clean saucepan
  2. Add caster sugar
  3. Add lemon juice
  4. Add water
  5. Heat for approx 5min on medium heat until light golden and turn off heat
  6. Add butter
  7. Add heavy cream slowly
  8. Add salt
  9. Mix well and let cool
  10. Transfer sauce to jar
  11. Store in fridge
