I love keeping a jar of salted caramel sauce in my fridge for anything from apple pie to ice cream, to drizzling over brownies. This sauce is easy to make and transforms basic desserts into flavor bombs!
Ingredients
Caster sugar370 g
Lemon juice5 g
Water110 g
Butter15 g
Heavy cream125 g
Salt7 g
Method
1. Add caster sugar, lemon juice and water to a clean saucepan
2. Heat until light golden and turn off heat - approx 5 min, medium heat
3. Add butter to the sauce
4. Add heavy cream to the sauce slowly
5. Add salt to the sauce
6. Mix well and let cool
7. Transfer sauce to jar
8. Store in fridge
