    METHOD


  • 1. Add all purpose flour, baking soda, kosher salt, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground cloves and nutmeg to a clean medium bowl
  • 2. Whisk until combined then set aside
  • 3. Add unsalted butter, white sugar and light brown sugar to a clean stand mixer bowl
  • 4. Beat until smooth - approx 5 min
  • 5. Add egg, molasses and vanilla extract to the stand mixer bowl
  • 6. Transfer dry ingredients to stand mixer bowl
  • 7. Beat until smooth
  • 8. Cover with plastic wrap
  • 9. Chill in fridge - approx 1 hr
  • 10. Add white sugar to a clean small bowl
  • 11. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  • 12. Transfer content of stand mixer bowl to large mixing bowl
  • 13. Roll into balls
  • 14. Dip balls into sugar mixture
  • 15. Transfer content of large mixing bowl to baking sheet
  • 16. Bake - approx 10 min, 175°C
  • 17. Let cool onto cooling rack
  • 18. Add white chocolate chips to a clean medium bowl
  • 19. Melt in microwave - approx 1 min
  • 20. Stir until smooth
  • 21. Dip content of baking sheet into chocolate mixture then set aside
  • 22. Let rest on surface until set
  • 23. Add food coloring to the chocolate mixture
  • 24. Decorate with piping bag
