For those keen on a rich hot chocolate, feel free to chop up a bar of your favorite dark chocolate (I like anything with 54 to 70 percent cacao mass). The recipe recommends serving each hot chocolate with a peppermint stick, or candy cane; I usually like to serve each with a dollop of billowy whipped cream, shaved chocolate and a bit of crushed candy cane, but feel free to assemble these hot chocolates as per your tastes.
