Step preview

  1. Get a clean Dutch oven
  2. Add canola oil
  3. Sear cubed beef shoulder then set aside
  4. Add coarsely chopped onion
  5. Add coarsely chopped carrot
  6. Add coarsely chopped celery stalk
  7. Sauté until tender
  8. Add finely sliced garlic clove
  9. Transfer beef to stew
  10. Add beef stock
  11. Add stout
  12. Add bay leaves
  13. Add salt & pepper
  14. Simmer gently for 1h 30min
  15. Stir briefly
  16. Serve
