Not only are they so much better than store-bought versions, they can be made ahead of time and frozen. That will ensure that you always have a stock of delicious homemade corn tortillas.

  • kCook icon Tortilla press
  • kCook icon Large mixing bowl
  • kCook icon Plate
  • kCook icon Medium cast iron skillet

Step preview

  1. Get a clean large mixing bowl
  2. Add masa harina
  3. Add salt
  4. Stir until well combined
  5. Add warm water slowly and mix
  6. Cover with plastic wrap for 30min
  7. Divide into balls then set aside
  8. Flatten gently
  9. Line with plastic wrap
  10. Press one by one onto Tortilla press
  11. Pre-heat on medium heat
  12. Transfer dough to medium cast iron skillet one by one
  13. Cook each side for approx 2min on high heat
  14. Keep warm with kitchen towel
  15. Serve
