Shredded Chicken

A super simple method to have up your sleeve to keep the family in chicken sandwiches or soups. This shredding method is the only way to shred meat!



  • Chicken breast icon
    Chicken breast

    2 cups (about 480 g)cubed, chopped, skinned

  • Black pepper icon
    Black pepper

    as neededfreshly ground

  • Water icon

    600 g (about 2 ½ cups)

  • Sea salt icon
    Sea salt

    as needed


  • 1. Cut the chicken into large pieces, and place into simmering basket and insert into thermomix bowl.
  • 2. Add water to the TM5 bowl
  • 3. Cook - approx 13 min, 100°C, speed 3
  • 4. Check that the chicken is cooked
  • 5. Add a couple of minutes if necessary although the chicken should not be dry
  • 6. Drain the bowl of water and place the cooked chicken into the bowl
  • 7. Add seasoning to taste
  • 8. Blend - approx 4 sec, reverse speed 5
  • 9. Serve as you wish
