I love going peach picking and always pick too many peaches. One of my favorite things to make is a peach pie spiked with bourbon and nutmeg. It's delicious with vanilla or butter pecan ice cream.

Step preview

  1. Pre-heat
  2. Get a clean medium bowl
  3. Add coarsely chopped peach
  4. Add white sugar
  5. Add cornstarch
  6. Add nutmeg
  7. Add juice of lemon
  8. Add brown sugar
  9. Add whiskey
  10. Add white flour
  11. Toss together
  12. Transfer fruit to saucepan
  13. Cook for approx 5min on medium heat and turn off heat
  14. Roll out basic pie crust onto a lightly floured surface
  15. Transfer fruit to pie dish
  16. Transfer pie crust to pie dish
  17. Bake for 40min until golden brown
  18. Let cool completely
  19. Serve
