Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  2. Grease a clean square pan
  3. Add egg, milk and salted butter to a clean large mixing bowl
  4. Whisk until smooth then set aside
  5. Add all purpose flour, granulated sugar, salt and baking powder to a clean medium bowl
  6. Whisk until combined
  7. Transfer dry ingredients to batter
  8. Add apple to the batter
  9. Mix thoroughly until combined
  10. Pour batter into square pan then set aside
  11. Add white flour and granulated sugar to a clean medium bowl
  12. Rub in salted butter the mixture
  13. Transfer mixture to cake
  14. Bake - 30 min, 200°C
  15. Add brown sugar and vanilla extract to a clean medium bowl
  16. Mix in water to the glaze
  17. Glaze cake
