Step preview

  1. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper
  2. Get a clean medium bowl
  3. Add all purpose flour
  4. Add ground ginger
  5. Add ground cinnamon

  10. Whisk briefly until combined then set aside
  11. Get a clean large mixing bowl
  12. Add unsalted butter
  13. Add grated ginger
  14. Add dark brown sugar
  15. Cream together
  16. Add molasses
  17. Mix until combined
  18. Transfer dry ingredients to sugar mixture
  19. Mix a large mixing bowl well
  20. Get a clean small bowl
  21. Add chocolate chips
  22. Transfer chocolate mixture to dough
  23. Mix until combined
  24. Chill in fridge for 1h
  25. Pre-heat
  26. Scoop dough onto 2 baking sheets
  27. Sprinkle with granulated sugar
  28. Bake for 10min
  29. Transfer onto cooling rack
