This salmon is roasted in the oven under the broiler and only takes a whopping 10 minutes. It has a deliciously sweet, light maple glaze that works with just about any side. We ate it with regular baked potato...

    Ingredients

  • Maple syrup icon
    Maple syrup2 tablespoons
  • Hoisin sauce icon
    Hoisin sauce2 tablespoons
  • Dijon mustard icon
    Dijon mustard1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper icon
    Cayenne pepper¼ teaspoon
  • Black pepper icon
    Black pepper½ teaspoonground
  • Salmon filet icon
    Salmon filet680 g
    Method

  • 1. Pre-heat in broiler - 232°C
  • 2. Add maple syrup, hoisin sauce, dijon mustard, cayenne pepper and black pepper to a clean small bowl
  • 3. Stir well with tablespoon until combined
  • 4. Grease a clean baking sheet
  • 5. Add salmon filet
  • 6. Transfer half of mixture to fish and reserve the rest
  • 7. Broil in broiler - 5 min, 232°C
  • 8. Brush fish with mixture lightly
  • 9. Broil in broiler until flaky - approx 5 min, 232°C
  • 10. Transfer the rest of the maple mixture to baking sheet
  • 11. Serve immediately
